Description | Large oval shaped wooden pigment box with lid; carvings on both lid and body of box are similiar-geometric shapes in the form of interlocking zigzag groupings of parallel lines; on either side of lid there are carvings of hexagon shapes; protruding knob, with incised vertical and horizontal lines, from center of lid; hole above knob, a second hole found directly below on base; incised grid pattern on bottom of box; interior of base has a red hue; exterior of object is dark brown in color. |
