Description | Thin copper-alloy plate, round and flat in shape, with a second (damaged) strip of metal around the raised circular form just inside the rim. The strip is decorated with incised patterns in the form of floral clusters linked by rhomboid frames. Probably served as the backing for a kakebotoke relief icon or a decorative plaque. The strip and front of the disk are covered with blackpowder, possibly collected incense smoke. |
