Description | This poncho has decorative stripes. The plain weave is warp-dominant. Two-web construction. Additional supplementary elements are added for designs within stripes. Warp striping. At the bottom of the center seam is an additional "vent" or opening. Mentioned in Vanstan's "Textiles from Beneath…" book, pg. 24-25 (fig. 18 a,b) Color(s): Large red stripes between multi-colored stripes (predominately brown, yellow, red and green). . |
