Description | Un-stemmed arrowhead (無茎石鏃). Triangular point. Concave base and rounded tangs which curve inward. Bifacially retouched. Light color translucent stone. This is one of more than forty bifacially retouched arrowheads with concave bases in the collection. This form of arrowhead occurs in sites from the Jomon to Yayoi Period. They can be found throughout Japan. |
