Description

Female puppet. Long full skirt of batiked cotton dyed with indigo (?). Complicated quasi-vegetative pattern, non-symmetrical. Detachable stick in body under skirt for hand-hold. Small waist with white cotton and black wool sash. Body and arms painted gold with red and white ornamentation and bracelets. Long sticks in hands. Wired and strung at joints. Head is detached. White face. Tulip-shaped black line at center forehead. Mouth open, showing teeth. Ornate headdress carved in layered zig-zag pattern; gold, black and white, faded red section. Ornate layered triangular extension at back. Locks of hair represented at ears. Both arms detached.
