Description

Arm band (yeet, type dinggi yeet) (dinggi= arm). Plaited of two types of fiber; dark one is from a fern called dekmot, lighter from a kind of palm called unggeret. made and worn by men. Worn on upper arm. Made by Kobarara Yangkap, Namat clan, Kombut village, Irian Jaya, living in Dome refugee camp. Purchased from maker 3/5/89. Made for collection.
