Description | A tube shaped fish trap woven with long, thin pieces of wood. At one end there is a circular opening which has a conical structure attached to it on the inside. There is a second similar opening. The shape of the tube is uniform until the end where a tear-shaped base slightly changes the form. This is a fish trap for gentle water, eg. lakes and slow streams. Mr. Li Hirionatha (Lung Li ลุงลี) the principal informant notes that the pointed end should be placed above the water level so that fish can "breathe". |
