Description

Hide. Strongly concave-convex from end to end; less so, from side to side. Reverse scored to resemble wicker-work. The stick-grip is bent almost in a semi-circle to follow the curve of the shield. The attribution is taken from the original label, according to which the shield is of hippopotamus hide.
