Description

Carved wooden figure with traces of white gesso. Figure of man standing with right hand supporting a beam which is broken at the top (originally part of a cross?) and holding an object in his left hand. Wearing Catholic style monk robe with wide collar. Standing on waisted base. Severe insect damage especially at the bottom of the image. Note found with image: "Saint Francis of Azela"
