Description

Plain. Ovoid body, bulging neck, two vertical loop handles on body.

Narrow-necked jar/bottle with an ovate body, bulging neck, rounded rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a flat base. No molded/modeled additions. The body is irregular in shape. No decoration. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Fireclouding is present on the body. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1623 f."
