Description | Mended on rim. Wheelmade. Small kylix. Thick flaring base. Conical hollow under short stem. Body curves up to GD, above which slight carination under flaring rim. Interior corresponds to exterior. Horizontal loop handles attached at carination; one thick, one irregular and slightly twist. Plain black glazed all over body, slightly brownish, mostly all gone. Band under base, but seems polished on outer edges of base where never glazed. Mostly fairly fine fabric. Fine clay, fired reddish orange brown, except for buff area between handles. A bit of very fine mica. |
