Description | Sommerville: Sard. Meleager, son of Neoptolemus. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case QQ. Vermeule: Sard. Mottled. Cameo. (Unmounted) Bust of a youth to right. Identified by Sommerville as "Meleager son of Neopotolenus. The features are moddled in a general way after the well -known statue of Meleage in the Vatican, a Roman copy of a IV century work usually attributed to Scopus. Neo-classic. |
