A pedestal for a betel nut chewing plate (82-7-47B). It has a small circular base, a narrow neck, and a flat "plate" on top. It is all one piece of wood. There are eight pieces associated with this betel nut chewing set: a base (82-7-27B), an under plate (82-7-47B), a basin (82-7-45), a cover (82-7-47A), three bowls for betel (หมาก) (82-7-60A-C), and a brass lime holder (82-7-61A,B). It was collected from a woman in her 50's (in 1981) who said it dated to at least her mother who was from Chaiyaphum.
