Description

Brown impasto. Pottery; rim chipped; fabric and technique similar to MS2733; handles attached to a sharp ridge which separates long neck from lower part of vase and which is decorated with central knobs and diagonal hatchings once filled with red. On neck 6 countersunk discs cut to receive bronze studs (or other material), these countersunk area reinforced inside by daubs of clay. On outer face of one handle another countersunk area irregular in outline and apparently never filled.
