Description | Tan, fine-grained rock with concoidal fracture. Edges straight and perpendicular to base. Base straight and appears perpendicular to longitudinal axis. Small ear at junction of base and one of edges. Flakes driven off base parallel to longitudinal axis. Tang edges straight. Tang-tip junction unknown. One surface retains original flake surface, with marginal retouch. Other surface both flaked and ground. Striations diagonal to longitudinal axis. Grinding extends from near base to broken end of piece. Artifact broken perpendicular to longitudinal axis. |
