Description | Vermeule: Sardonyx. Cameo. (Modern gold ring setting) Stamped on interior PEST (Budapest(?)) Bust of an elderly bearded man to right. The features are of the Renaissance Aristotle type, derived ultimately from a drawing made by Ciriacod Ancona on Samothrace about the middle of the 15th century. Neo-Classic. |
