Description | A sort of overall shawl. Two lengths of white cotton homespun sewed together along one side of each. Ends bordered with a red stripe and fringed. When worn, lower corner is draped over the shoulder. To show regret, on greeting, right shoulder is undraped (as European might tip or raise hat), and then re-covered. (Inf. Wm. Farrell 1949). |
