Description

Navy blue plaid cotton jaspe. White pin stripes Jaspe forming the larger check pattern. Colors used in sample green, blue, deep red, purple and white over navy ground, Worn in country around Coban. ("gente del campa").

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 46 epi, single, Z twist, navy and white cotton. Two singles, Z twist, white, purple and green cotton. Single, Z twist, white and navy jaspe. Weft: 36 ppi, single, Z twist, blue and white cotton, blue and white jaspe cotton and green and purple cotton. Two singles, white cotton. Balanced plain weave checked ground. Supplementary weft is white and green cotton overshot. Woven on a floor loom."
