Description | Amphora, type B. A, warrior (helmet, shield, sword) advances to right in center, looking about to launch a spear to left. At right and left a cloaked youth. B, warrior in center (helmet, shield, greaves) stands looking to the left. On the other side of him are a pair of cloaked figures, the one on the immediate left is bearded. Upright large ivy border above on each panel. Exterior of base glaze. Ray pattern around lower wall. Otherwise black save for underside of base and top of lip. |
