Description

Three dimensional puppet with wooden torso, wooden head, wooden arms, articulated at shoulder and elbows, cotton skirt from waist down. Puppet is held and operated by a wooden stick which passes through a hole in the torso and into the base of the head and by sticks attached to the hands. Face pink, rest of skin gold. Round red eyes, hooked nose. Large headdress with crown, ear ornaments, garuda mungkur. Green and red ornaments at upper arms and wrists. Wrists flexed. Ling black velvet chest cover with orange rickrack. Wide pink sash with narrow white band. Batik skirt: maroon with large 8 rayed star in front, scattered cowries. Character is a member of the Kaurawa.
