Description | Carved stick. Card says: Carved wood drumstick with incised designs used in the Peyote Ceremony. The designs are symmetrical, and are in 5 different sections. At either end of the stick there are lines carved circling the circumference. Within these bands are "X's"--four within each and spaced evenly around the circumference. The sections in between these and the one in the middle are incised with a zig-zag design. The middle section is incised with bands circling the circumference, 9 in all, and spaced close together. At the top and bottom of the stick are star-shaped incisions with eight points. |
