Description | Bentwood box with a rectangular base and short, straight sides. The sides are made from two pieces of wood joined roughly at the middle to form a single plank of wood. The side plank is then steamed and bent into shaped with the corners kerfed. Undecorated exterior and interior. One corner is "stitched" together with plant fiber strips. The base is attached in a similar way, with plant fiber cordage threaded from the underside into the lower edges of the box sides. |
