Description

Sommerville: Antique paste intaglio, color emerald striated with black and white. A devotional figure bowing before an altar. Antique Pastes, Case ZZZ.

Vermeule: Paste, imitating banded Agate. Intaglio. (Unmounted) A female, possibly a Maenad, leaning over to the right holding up a garland before a small shrine consisting of a temple or an altar. Graeco-Roman.
