Description | For construction cf. 29-89-194, 29-89-195. No outer lashing. Three plaited tubes or bands. Pointed strip of bamboo held under two distal bands on other side of shaft from "tail" of point. Short length of quill held under proximal band. On one edge of wide bamboo point, 6 barbs precede a semicircle opening cut near that edge. Shaft markings: Internode along which lie two strips of bamboo is roughly cross-hatched, the strips being crossed by the transverse lines. The other internodes bear irregular combinations of continuous or broken longitudinal strokes. The point is marked with four E's and with lines following mainly the contours of the barbs. |
