Description | Eskimo whaling doll with a wood head, hands, torso. The legs are constructed of hemp fiber and the arms are a stripe cotton fabric. The face is carved with painted black hair. No detail on hands except notch for holding paddle. The doll is dressed in a white cotton hooded long sleeve whaling parka with park brown wool stitching at sleeve, parka hem and hood opening. White cotton boots with with brown wool stitching at top for attachment to legs. Brown twill cotton pants with thin white stripe. Cotton blue shirt with many colored flowers. |
