Description | Tell Halaf type. Sherd on display in Mesopotamian Fauna case, 1968: Light orange paste, hard firex with no visible inclusions. Surface smoothed, docorated on both inside and out with dark orange paint, matt. Thick annular band at rim, thinner one beneath. Row of standing birds with heads raised, wings flapping. Legs slightly bent; bodies filled in, heads left open. Standing on another thin annular band. Three annular bands on exterior. From open hemispherical? bowl. |
