Description | Buckeye wood. Oval with flat bottom and expanding sides. Grip at each end with hole in one for suspension loop. "These were formerly universally used for mixing cornbread dough, but are no longer in use among the Cherokee. This dish belonged to Will West Long's wife, and she brought it with her when they were married, about 1905, and used it until her death. |
