Description | Square; plaited, ash; sides bulge slightly. Horizontal splints slightly narrower than verticals around sides. Bottom: band of 3 narrow splints, middle one bluish, top red; then come stamped designs-2 different designs- red on vertical, bluish on horizontal splints; above are bluish and red narrow horizontals. About middle, a broad horizontal dyed blackish with reddish spot-perhaps design in middle; verticals in same place have faded bluish design stamped on. Rim: finished with bent splint hoops. Basket: good condition; design colors faded. |
