Description | Oblong, plaited; ash splints. Divided down center lengthwise. Bottom flat; sides flare slightly. Bottom splints of even width; side horizontal splints all narrow. Rim: bound with splint hoops; inside hoops circle and bind center partition which has splints of same width except for 2 bands of narrow horizontals. Partition has handle made by top rim and the vertical splints bent over themselves about an inch below. Parti-tion not joined to basket at side but verticals for it are caught under bottom horizontals and is held at top rim, also. |
