Description | Dark grey ware, thin dark grey slip. Large flat base, ovoid body with greatest diameter below center and sides sharply contracted to very narrow mouth around which are 5 large holes drilled from the outside. Crude incised "Tree" decoration on upper part of body. This vessel seems originally to have been a bottle from which neck was broken and suspension holes drilled later. |
