Description

A preserving rim and neck

This type of rim sherd was found in a variety of sizes about 3 different ones. All were handmade buff wares. Note on sherd, The variation on the theme of the wavy line motif: Multiple, very closely spaced incisions coming to a point. This technique of fine, regular line incisions is what is used on the modern pottery of the Kashmar area.
