Description | Skirt of split banana leaves, dyed with artificial dyes. Two short tiers at top, one dyed, one plain. Predominant colors of top layer blue, brown, orange, and purple. No long streamers like those on 88-20-1 and -2. Used in the sagali ritual. Collected at the completion of a sagali (in this case marking the end of mourning) in Omarakana village, October 8, 1988. |
