Description | Double in form of two pods. Strap handles from top of one pod to slightly flaring neck above the other pod Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a double-chambered body shaped like two pods, flaring neck, rounded rim, 1 strap handle extending from the neck to the body, and a rounded base. The two chambers are shaped like seeds or pods and are painted white with black lines. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere with localized reduction as the ceramic paste is orange to gray in color. Fireclouding is present on the neck, handle, and body The catalogue number is written in black ink. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1207." |
