Black woolen poncho with inserted band and embroidered fine gobelin. Design panels of three humming birds and S-shaped figures red, yellow, white, and brown. In the later style of Tiahuanaco, or, in the style for outdoor use at that place.

This finely woven tapestry poncho is constructed out of two webs (one making up the front and the other the back). Across the midsection is 9cm wide decorative strip of a repetitive block pattern. Within each block are one of two designs (one with three figures and the other a S-shaped figure). The bottom edge of the poncho is finely bound in shades of brown with a zigzag stitch right above. The edges along the side of the poncho are also finely bound in shades of brown. The neck aperture is still apparent. Color(s): Black poncho with tapestry woven band running selvage to selvage across the width of the poncho with figures in a repetitive pattern (in red, yellow, white and brown). Edge binding in several shades of brown. .
