Description | Fragments from a long necked wooden instrument, with flat-backed waisted body with membrane sounding surface. Fifteen arched metal frets. Metal strings. Eleven pegs in wooden strips along side of neck. Wooden bridge. Five pegs in peg box ( two frontal, three lateral). Leather strip across membrane under the bridge. Bow of same dark wood with black hair tied through hole at one end and attached to wooden frog bound to other end. Bow in good condition, some hair missing. Instrument in poor condition. Membrane broken and split. Four large pegs at top missing. Front section of neck below peg box missing. One of fifteeen bridges detached. |
