Description | Tapestry-weave silk textile in green, red, scarlet, silver and white. A well to do woman's skirt cloth for very special occasions according to one researcher. Another researcher says is a men's paso, worn only at informal occasions and for theatrical performers. Acheik, or wave pattern. The technique to make this pattern is called Luntaya, 100 shuttles. Probably made in Amurapura, just outside of Mandalay. |
