Description | Head of horned bull supported on a stem and broad base. Flaring lip rising from top of head with pour spout like lekythos lip set vertically on top of head of bull. Ring handle for pouring set vertically just below bull's right ear. Exterior of handle, lip and spout, and and stem and top of base are covered with greenish black glaze; the bull's head is covered with a red slip (brownish-orange). Hair on top of head and whites of eyes are white. Inside of ear is painted reddish-purple. The center of the stand is ridged. Intact. |
