Description | Bird askos on low ring base. Pale buff clay with brown slip, much worn. The bird's beak is the pouring spout, the filling hole being a tube near the tail which also supports the handle. The filling hole is recessed within the lip to prevent spills. The grooved strap handle runs from the filling tube to the base of the bird's neck. The tail feathers project from the base of the filling tube and separation is indicated by 3 grooves. No wings or feet indicated. |
