Description | Spherical body, bulging collar, flaring neck, two vertical loop handles on body. Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a globular body, flaring neck, flattened rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a rounded base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel has a red slip. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1337." |
