Description

Warp: \ wool; ud.

Weft: \, \/ linen; ud: \ wool; ud, brown-purple. \/ wool; dark-blue, blue-green.

Technique: Tapestry over one warp. Emb. with \/ linen, and \/ wool. Warp cord, weft fringe.

A. Sleeve drape with single cuff band. B. Neck band and fragment of clavus. Border is variant of class IV. Pattern of clavus is concentric lozenges surrounding four rings. Neck band has narrow band of linked ovals every other one carrying a cross, and a wide border carrying arcade with symmetrical plant forms in the arches. Plant forms emb. with wool.
