Description

Large globular stirrup-jar. Mouth and neck painted, with paint extending to inside of rim; "grass or reed" (FM 16) on shoulder zone, with some plants rising from band on shoulder and others extending down from the false neck; two sets of three horizontal bands on body, bounding a body zone with four zig-zag bands; lower part of body painted. Diagonal lines on handles. Resting surface unpainted. Coarse, pink (7.5YR 7/4) clay with decoration in reddish brown (5YR 7/4) to black paint. Self-slipped. Restored from fragments. Some sherds missing, including top of false neck.
