Description | Fragment. According to catalogue records, this is a fragment of a poncho. One cut edge (along the top). Other edges have selvages, so web width can be determined. Embroidery at bottom in a geometric band with stair-step design at corner. There is a front and back, as the back has the knots from the embroidery. Bound edges at site of embroidery. Finely woven. Color(s): off-white base with applied embroidery in dark brown/black. |
