Description | molded foot; broad, low stem; plump ovoid body continuous in profile with slender neck; broadly overhanging molded rim. No handle. On body a large bird, wings spread wide, facing left, in white with yellow details. On either side are elaborate white tendrils. Side opposite bird is undecorated. Egg pattern below scene and on shoulder. Tongue pattern on neck. Intact. Somewhat metallic black glaze. Added white and yellow well preserved. Unglazed: lower wall, stem, and underside of foot. A red cross with broad arms is somewhat indistinctly painted on underside. |
