Description | Stone lamp. Much broken, and considerably restored. Very large lamp of grey steatite. Unusual form. Slightly flaring base stem. Sides make almost profile of inverted cone, with very deep and large convex basin within. Plain flat upper rim, with outer edge marked by groove. Two very small lug-handles, set off by groove, depend. Rim slightly overhangs reservoir. |
