Description | Gray bucchero spherical oinochoe. Ring foot, round body. Flaring neck with restored trefoil rim and strap handle. Protuberance at either side of handle. Ridge around shoulder. The fabric appears to be gray, but the surface is quite encrusted and discolored so it is difficult to say. White areas may indicate surfacing salt deposits. The body, neck, and rim are heavily restored. Cracks throughout, chipped on foot. Wheel marks visible on exterior of body and foot. Note: It has a blue and white sticker with dots, with “6” written on it. |
