Description | Front half of head, cut off below at point where chin would join neck. Frontal view. Possibly wearing a plain cap (?): top part of head smooth, bordered in front by a band semicircular in profile. Between band and forehead the surface is indistinctly impressed but seems to represent mostly a garland of large clusters of grapes and grape leaves; one large cluster covers area of the right ear (left area missing). A loop of a fillet in center of forehead. Muddy brown clay; no trace of color. Two holes for suspension in upper part. Hollow; mold-made. Mended from two large sections. |
