Description | Etrusco-Corinthian; painted and incised scale pattern. In handle zone 3 rows of scale pattern, outlines incised and alternate pairs filled with reddish-purple. Large dot rosettes in yellow-white: 2 on each side of lower attachement of handle; 2 on neck above them; 1 on outer edge of lip at upper handle attachment; one centrally above scale pattern on front; 1 on each rotelle of handle. Edge of base glazed. Ray pattern on lower wall. Rest of wall to level of lower attachment of handle is decorated with thin bands of red on an orange ground. Intact. |
