Description

Paixiao. For ritual music representing voice of the Phoenix. Sixteen whistle pipes with side openings, box painted dark red with gold designs. The pipes are innerduct flutes (like a recorder). The symbols on the front are of the eight Daoist immortals. Gold designs on black pipes. Wood of box is cracked, one pipe detached.
