Effigy Vessel

Face-neck wide mouthed vessel with an effigy-anthropomorphic body, effigy-anthropomorphic collar, missing rim, no handles, and a flat base. The vessel is shaped like a seated human figure with headdress/hat, ear spools, and arms resting on his knees. The features of the figure are painted in white, black, red, and green (?) including the hat, ear spools, and necklace. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink on the bottom of the base. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1794."
