Description

Sommerville: Pale Onyx. Jupiter Serapis. Gold and Silver Rings - Cameos, Case JJJ.

Vermeule: Dark Chalcedony. (Modern gold ring setting) Draped bust of Jupiter Serapis left, Kalathos on his head. Nose broken and formerly restored with plaster. Fairly high relief. 18th century, in good imitation of Graeco-Roman style.
